SNU students come primarily from across the country and different social classes representing diverse perspectives and experiences.
Applicants are admitted on a equal opportunity basis, and the university offers some financial relieve or scholarships to help families manage the costs.
SNU takes limited number of students for each faculty every year, for example 100 students per faculty. An entry exam will be held for all students, then the students with the highest score will be chosen. Students are given three faculty options on the application form with number one being their first choice option then option two and option three. If a student doesn’t qualify for his/her primary choice then they will get into option two or three.
A student might pass the entry exam and not get admitted due to the limited number of students taken each year.
